As you can see we have had quite the digital overhaul and we’re back stronger than ever. Right in time for Dutch Design week, that will start this Saturday 22nd of October. We’ll be there to find new future perspectives as well as blogging all week. To get real time updates like our Facebook or follow our Instagram and Twitter.
The theme of this year is ‘The making of’. Focussing on the process and future concepts. How will design affect the future? To get you excited we’ve compiled a list with some of the most innovative or thought provoking expo’s.
Looking for a connection with your endless pile of clothes? Instead of throwing away your three-euro shirt. You would be much better of, spending your money on something that connects with you. That's the idea behind Dynamic Skin fabric. This fabric interacts with your body. It radiates heat and lights up, powered by solar energy. The lights pulse with your own pulse. This concept might not only make us reconnect with the clothes we buy, but might also finally truly showcase who we are. The ultimate goal of the ‘individual fashionista’!
This expo will connect you with everything that's future and technology. Examples like: Furbies with fear of abandonment, implant health trackers and internet of woman-things seem promising. A broader view on technology’s effect on our future lives in stead just dumping a tech utopia on us.
The expo Eat will make you reconsider your meat addiction. The steak you buy in the store is packaged in way to look less ‘animal’ so you can eat it without guilt. However, Eat will reconnect the meat with the animal. Confronting you with your diet and way of consuming.
During the Dutch Design Week we’ll try to cover as much as we can, but if you want to get the full experience, we strongly advise you to see it for yourself;-)! Get inspired and explore the many expo’s, lectures and parties. If you can’t make it, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered!
