#MOVING PEOPLE

In Amsterdam these days, thousands of minuscule replicas of refugees, are causing pedestrians to reflect on an issue that urgently needs all of our attention and compassion.  The replicas were created by a 3D printer and are part of the art project Moving People of Power of Art House.  Each figurine refers to the story of the refugees, who have been interviewed by the makers of the social art project.

“When I place a mini refugee somewhere, immediately people stand around it and emerge conversations about the refugee problem, and that is exactly the effect we were looking for” says initiator Saskie Stolz to The Creators Project

According to the creators, the intention is that anyone, who finds a replica,  brings it along with them and places it in a new spot, symbolising the movement of the refugees.
