INSIDE HIRST

INSIDE HIRST

Be still my Demian Hirst lovin heart! There is now a CGI animation that allows viewers to take a journey across the heavily textured surface of Damien Hirst's Veil of Faith painting.

London-based Prudence Cuming Associates created the movie to coincide with an exhibition of Hirst's latest series, The Veil Paintings, at the Gagosian Gallery in Los Angeles.

The company encourages viewers to "imagine another dimension" of Hirst's work whereby they achieve the sense of being inside the painting.

We love the growing trend of art and science becoming more intertwined. In our book, this is an awesome example of how technology can play a role in creating an added dimension art and thereby appeal to a wider audience. We cant wait to have even more of our senses stimulated as the art world is dusting off and ready to integrate sound and smell to our museum experience as well.... Brands listen up; whatever industry you may be working in, 5 dimensional branding is the word. If you'd like to get a head-start, check out other Anticipate posts related to the Sensory Fetishism trend.

Thanks Dezeen for sharing and check out Artsy for more Hirst!
