AGILE WAYS IN LIQUID DAYS
Long-time no see! Our apologies for the absence, but as you may have noticed we have been quite busy with our very own pop-up space at Lil’Amsterdam. During the month of March, we brought MARE’s philosophy to life by curating a 3D space where insights serviced as the new goodie bag. The month has flown by, but we look back at what’s been accomplished very proudly in this short amount of time. Here is a short recap of our crazy month.
Most people who walked by our shop were confused about its purpose. By far, the most frequently asked question was: ‘What does your company do and what are you selling?’. People were delighted to hear that we weren’t selling anything, as we were there to tell stories instead. As a qualitative research agency, we are always pushing the envelope to discover new ways of understanding what makes people tick. We unravel consumers insights and we anticipate upon the future, by understanding what the creative forefront is doing. Last but not least, we deconstruct these valuable insights to reconstruct new stories that provide a way forward for brands. Agile ways in liquid days, is the mantra of our times.
Trends made tangible
Every year our trend team visits the Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven to spot new talents on the rise. For the pop-up, we invited some of the most ground-breaking and innovative makers we could find and ask them if we could exhibit their designs in our shop. In doing so, we were also able to help them spread the word regarding their project even further. Passengers were amazed by the stories that came with, and the amount of research that was put into these beautifully designed products.
In the middle of the hustle and bustle of rush hour (very agile), our trend researchers hosted highly visual trend talks regarding the most important shifts going on in today’s society. During the sessions, we spoke about a number of different topics e.g. Millennials, Generation Z, the Future of Retail and The Dutch Touch. Each talk was aimed to be as interactive as possible, as we facilitated semi-moderated conversations between our guest speakers and the attendants. We also treated some of our corporate clients to a variety of tailor-made trend talks on subjects like The Internet of Things, Urban Nomads and Pop-up Cities.
